NHL 2000 is part of a series of yearly sports games released by EA Sports. New to this game is a Season Mode where you get to simulate a season of hockey with your team of choice, completely with player drafting, retirements, and trading. And for the year 2000, it added in the Atlanta Thrashers, a team that was very new at the time of the game's release.
