    Description

Built from the same code base, Oracle Java SE Embedded has the same power, portability, and robustness as Java SE. Given its targeted platforms and optimizations such as a reduced-footprint JRE versus a full JDK, there are select, unique requirements and differences developers need to know about in installing, developing, and troubleshooting Oracle Java SE Embedded.
This session takes developers from zero to installing and deploying Oracle Java SE Embedded on Linux ARM/PowerPC/x86 embedded hardware. It offers practical tips and resources for key areas such as getting started and installing on common inexpensive development boards as well as how to develop and troubleshoot for devices that are often both remote and memory-constrained. The session includes a Raspberry Pi demo.
