Using the JupyterLab Git Extension in a Data Science Notebook Session

Learn how to directly access to your Git repository using the Git extension included in notebook sessions.

If you see a "Failed to load the jupyterlab-git server extension" warning, that means you are using an older version of Notebook Virtual Machine so the Git extension isn’t installed. You can click Dismiss to work in the notebook without issues. If you want to start using the Git extension, simply deactivate and reactivate the notebook to get the extension.
