Using Enterprise OSGi to Create an Adaptable and Scalable Platform for eBay

Application environments and even languages get popular and wane. Once a company has invested in a particular application environment, it is usually stuck with its decision. Migration to the next-generation platform is difficult and costly.
Raptor is the next-generation application platform and environment for eBay. Using OSGi technologies and application environment independence, it allows easy integration of multiple application platforms/frameworks or even languages. Raptor allows for nondisruptive adaptations to newer platforms and application environments as they emerge.
In this session, hear how Raptor as a platform endorses and unblocks new innovations to be used at eBay without the necessity to revamp the whole eBay application infrastructure.
