Rapid Robot Programming

Many want to "get their hands dirty" with robots but don't have the time. This session shows how easy it is to create bots that leverage Java skills and accessible hardware. Over many JavaOne conferences, this session's speaker has shown advanced bots, ranging from autonomous cars to unmanned air vehicles. This year he'll present an immersive how-to session aimed to accelerate your own creation of bots. Based on a set of Java libraries made available, the session shows you how to get a bot up and running quickly with your own code. Using five different mobile robot platforms, ranging from economical to powerful and industrial, the presentation shows how code written for one bot easily ports to another, enabling you to start simple and scale upward.
