OSGI Resource and Remote Lifecycle Management for M2M and the Device Cloud

M2M is a highly dynamic market that is turning ever more challenging and complex as we progress toward fulfilling the vision of the internet of things. One of the biggest challenges is to manage devices and resources in the cloud as well as ensur scalability across a wide range of intelligent, heterogeneous devices. The strongly adopted M2M gateways based on Java/OSGi provide another dimension to manageability, because you now need to do complete lifecycle management of the apps and also manage their use of resources on embedded devices. This session presents an integrated end-to-end Java/OSGI solution consisting of an embedded Java/OSGI solution for the client side and a Java EE--based back end system addressing this challenge.
