Migrating from Oracle Linux Manager to Oracle OS Management Hub

This video covers the key steps and details for taking an existing Oracle Linux Manager 2.10 deployment and rebuilding it in Oracle OS Management Hub. As you set up OS Management Hub for the first time, please refer to the training video series on deploying OS Management Hub and refer to the Getting Started documentation. The information covered in this video supplements the normal OS management Hub setup process for those migrating from an existing Oracle Linux Manager deployment.

The key migration concepts and Oracle Linux Manager features that we will translate into OS Management Hub are the following:
- Organizations as entitlements and user groups, the Oracle Linux Manager servers as Management stations
- Collecting software channels and adding them as software sources
- identifying activation keys and creating corresponding registration profiles
- Removing client systems and registering them as instances

Oracle Linux Manager 2.10, formerly known as Spacewalk, provides a set of tools for managing the Oracle Linux software life cycle in small or large deployments. Oracle Linux Manager also helps you automate a kickstart installation, system configuration, and maintenance tasks, which enables you to rapidly deploy proven and consistent software configurations for Oracle Linux systems.

Oracle OS Management hub is the newest OS Management service that manages and monitors updates and patches for Oracle Linux environments in private data centers while providing a centralized management console as a service of Oracle Cloud infrastructure.
