Migrating Swing Applications to JavaFX 2

Migrating an application from one technology to another is a step often taken after long analysis and consideration of the advantages and drawbacks of such a move.
This session features the live migration of a database application from Swing to JavaFX 2. Doing the migration live in a limited time frame in this tutorial is intended to show the ease of migrating an application with out-of-the-box components available in JavaFX 2. At the end of the session, the starting application will have moved mostly to JavaFX 2 and still work the way it did before the migration.
