Title

Java for Embedded Systems: Multicore and More

Description

Java is showing up in embedded systems, which continue to grow in both number and power. Platform requirements traditionally associated with embedded platforms, such as lower-end processors; headless, reduced storage; and low memory are still a key part of the embedded space. However, it's not uncommon today to find embedded devices with dual/quad processors, several gigabytes of memory, and touchscreens. This session covers the functionality of Oracle Java SE Embedded and how it can help developers address the wide range of requirements in today's embedded devices. It explains the benefits and some use cases—such as data communications, industrial automation, and healthcare—of developing with Oracle Java SE Embedded. The session includes a demo.
