Title
Java Batch for Cost-Optimized Business Efficiency
Description
Companies need batch processing to achieve business efficiency—shipping and claims management are a few examples. Now batch processing is gaining more relevance as the data processed by companies grows, "dedicated batch windows" shrink, and there is a need to obtain access to information as quickly as possible. Java is key in addressing the issues of running a continuous, always-on mixed-workload enterprise environment.
In this session, you'll hear about the role of Java batch for efficient business processing; best practices for using containers to run batch 24/7; and the reuse of services, skills, and infrastructure between enterprise OLTP and batch to better manage costs and simplify architecture. The presentation also provides an update on the JSR for Java batch.
