Title

Best of Both Worlds: Java Persistence with NoSQL and SQL

Description

For Java persistence, developers have had a Hobson's choice: SQL or SQL. As Java serves ever-growing demands in Web, cloud, mobile, and enterprise apps, new data management technologies are emerging, providing more freedom and choice for data management. This session focuses on options that combine NoSQL and SQL Java access to a common database. ClusterJ provides a simple API that gives users extremely high performance for common operations—insert, delete, update, and query—while enabling them to execute more-complex queries across a standard JDBC interface.

As part of new development efforts, a module for Node.JS enables developers to extend JavaScript from the server through to the same fault-tolerant, globally distributed MySQL Cluster database.
