Title
3ds Max + V-Ray: Interior Lighting Crash Course + Scene files
Description
Have you ever had trouble properly lighting an interior scene with 3ds Max and V-Ray? The rendering settings for V-Ray can be super confusing, so this tutorial simplifies the process. In this course, we cover 3 methods for correctly lighting an interior architectural scene. We cover using an HDRI map for simple lighting, then we light the scene using V-Ray lights. Between the first 2 methods, we see totally different results. The final method uses a V-Ray sun, and we convert the lights into Skylight Portals, which direct the sun's rays into the scene for a clean day-light look.
If you're totally new to architectural rendering, or if you're a seasoned pro visualization artist, I hope this tutorial helps shed some light (pun intended, hehe) on how to get perfect looking renderings using these different methods. Once you master the art of lighting, you can easily get jobs and freelance work doing renderings and animations for architecture and interior design firms. It's a skill in high-demand!
